Heveanly food Anchovy + Camembert cheese - Venezia


Anchovy and Camembert cheese are such big NO for asian people, even for some westerners.. Due to the strong smells, some people just can't have them. When I was in Venice in this august, I went to a " Enoteca " (Bar) which serves the afternoon appitizers. I had the Camembert cheese with Anchovy, it was soooooooooooo yummy, I felt i was in heaven ~~~ The combination was great, the taste was amazing, the cheese melt the salty taste and the smell of anchovy, on the contract, anchovy brought the taste of Camembert cheese. The texture was super also.
Besides Anchovy and Camembert cheese, there is a kind of sweet wine called Fragolino which is good for anchovy + camembert cheese. In this bar, you can find a lot of cheap wine, and you can find out it is a place for the locals, a lot of italian people go there for wine during afternoon which is good for 1 afternoon offbeaten for tourists too...

Try to speak some italian, cos the owner dont udnerstand english.

I'm gonna try that camenbert and anchovy some time...sounds as if the flavor combination is "complicated"...but delicious at the same time.

u can try have them with dry white wine... very good for easy afternoon ~~
